Basketball Totals and Team Totals Odds API

HoopsAPI returns basketball over/under odds from 6 bookmakers for the game total and for each team's total, with every alternate line, for the full game, both halves and all four quarters. All markets use the same structure across bookmakers and over 100 competitions.

Which totals markets are included?

Each line has the points line and the over and under prices:

Full-game totals (period ft) include overtime. Team totals are offered by fewer bookmakers than game totals; markets a bookmaker doesn't offer are simply absent from its entry.

Does it include alternate totals lines?

GET /v1/gamesreturns each bookmaker's main line per market, the line with the most balanced prices. GET /v1/games/{game_id} adds every alternate line under lines, main line first:

What is totals data useful for?

• Projected scores.A game total and handicap together imply each team's expected points: home = (total - line) / 2, away = (total + line) / 2, with line as the home handicap. Team totals let you check that directly.
• Comparing bookmakers. Totals lines often differ by a point or more between bookmakers. Compare prices at the same line using the alternates; see how much basketball odds differ.
• Fair probabilities. De-vig the over and under to get the market's probability of each; see removing the bookmaker margin.

Are totals available for halves and quarters?

Totals and team totals are also available for halves (h1, h2) and quarters (q1–q4) where bookmakers price them. See the quarter and half odds API.
